What I Look for In a Model
There are different requirements for each genre of modeling. Each art director, photographer, or overall project visionary makes the final call for who will or will not make the cut for the photo.
Currently, I am looking to strengthen my fashion and editorial portfolios through environmental portraits. I have been accepted to law school for the fall of 2011, so I would like to have photography as a creative outlet when I return to school (I will not studying photography or anything related to it, so photography will be a nice change of pace). For photoshoots that will benefit my portfolio we can trade services. If you will model for me, then I will photograph you, retouch the images, and supply you with up to five digital images (in jpeg format). In other words, no money will exchange hands.
Here is what you need to know if you want to model for me:
- If you are a minor (under the age of 18) I am happy to work with you as long as a parent or guardian is present for the entire photoshoot.
- Fun, energetic, and outgoing models are preferred.
- Has clothes in her wardrobe suitable for fashion or editorial photography (I do work with fashion designers, but for the times that I don’t it is helpful if the model has clothes in her wardrobe to use).
- Excels at posing. This not only has to do with how the body moves or is contorted, but also with facial expressions.
It would be helpful to me if you can send me a few pics of yourself along with your stats (height, weight and dress size) by using the contact form located at the top of the page I will get back to you and see if we can find something mutually compatible. *Note: My contact form does not have the feature to attach images to it, so once I respond to you then you can send images of yourself.
Please read my model release.
That is about it. There isn’t much to it. I am happy to work with all different sorts of models. You never know what the answer will be unless you ask! And to top it off it does not cost anything. So what are you waiting for? Use the contact form at the top of the page, and let’s see what we can make. I hope to hear from you soon!
